Cockwood Harbour slipway

This slipway sits at Cockwood, a small tidal harbour village on the west shore of the Exe Estuary just north of Starcross. Cockwood Harbour is separated from the main estuary channel by the Exeter-to-Torquay railway embankment, and boats reach it via a bridge under the line; there is also a small-boat landing at Cockwood Steps south of the village. The Exe Water Users Code, published by the Exe Estuary Management Partnership, sets a 10-knot speed byelaw across the estuary.
