Above Weir
A whitewater egress point on the River Tyne at Hexham, immediately above the weir that crosses the river below the town bridge. Hexham Canoe Club uses the Tyne Green area nearby for public paddling sessions, and paddlers heading downstream to Corbridge are advised to stop above or below the weir rather than run it blind.
