Refund policy

Last updated 4 September 2026

This policy covers payments for PaddleScout Pro, our optional subscription. Payment is taken by Paddle, our merchant of record, and every refund is processed by Paddle to the card or account you paid with.

If you want a refund, email support@paddlescout.co.uk or use “Request refund” on paddle.net. Either route reaches a person.

1Changed your mind

If you take out Pro and decide within 30 days of that first payment that it is not for you, tell us and we refund it in full. This applies to the monthly plan and the yearly one alike.

2Renewals

Pro renews at the end of each period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing; Pro then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and no further payment is taken. Because of that, a renewal is not refunded as a change of mind.

If a renewal caught you out and you have not used Pro since it went through, email us and we will refund it.

3Moving between plans

Moving from the monthly plan to the yearly one charges the yearly price at that moment and credits the part of the month you had not used, so there is nothing to refund. Moving from yearly back to monthly is not offered. If you want to stop paying yearly, cancel, and Pro runs to the end of the year you paid for.

4Pro is not working

If Pro is broken for you and we cannot put it right within a reasonable time, we refund the part of your current period you could not use. Tell us what is wrong first so we can try.

5Your account is closed

If you delete your account while subscribed, we cancel the subscription straight away and refund the unused part of the current period. The same applies if we close your account under the terms of use.

6How to ask

  • Email support@paddlescout.co.uk with the address on your Paddle receipt.
  • Open the receipt email and choose “View receipt”, then “Request refund”.
  • Go to paddle.net and look up your order there.

Paddle sends approved refunds to your original payment method. Paddle’s policy is that this happens within 14 days of approval; most arrive sooner, and how long the money then takes to show depends on your bank.

7Your legal rights

If you are a consumer in the UK you have the right to cancel a distance contract for a digital service within 14 days. Nothing in this policy takes that right away, and where this policy gives you more, the policy applies. Paddle’s own refund policy, which you accept at checkout, sits alongside this one. Our terms of use cover everything else.

This policy is issued by Andrew Franklin, trading as PaddleScout.
