Trefriw put-in
This launch point is on the River Conwy at Trefriw, close to the site of the historic quay that made the village the largest inland port in Wales in the 19th century, when the tidal river carried vessels of up to 100 tons after downstream dredging. Trade ended with the railways and the paddle-steamer tourist trade stopped by the Second World War, though a powered boat docked here again in September 2024 for what is believed to be the first time in over 50 years.
