Fort Victoria slipway (Norton)

This slipway is on Westhill Lane in Norton, the access road into Fort Victoria Country Park, and launches onto the open western Solent between Yarmouth and Colwell Bay. Fort Victoria was built between 1852 and 1855 to help defend the western approaches to the Solent, and the country park's nature trail now runs along this shoreline.
