Sandilands slipway

Lincolnshire, England

A slipway onto the open North Sea beach at Sandilands, on the sea bank at the southern edge of Sutton-on-Sea on the Lincolnshire coast. Offshore wind turbines are visible on the horizon, and at very low tides the remains of a prehistoric forest, submerged by rising sea levels around 3,000 years ago, are exposed on the sand.
