LakeThrybergh put-in (Rotherham)
South Yorkshire, EnglandThis slipway sits on Thrybergh Reservoir, a 35-acre reservoir within Thrybergh Country Park between Thrybergh and Hooton Roberts on the edge of Rotherham. Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has run the site as a nature reserve and country park since 1983, with rowing boats available by booking and the reservoir used for fly fishing.
LakeScout Dike Reservoir slipway
South Yorkshire, EnglandThis concrete slipway sits on Scout Dike Reservoir, a Yorkshire Water reservoir on the Huddersfield Road just north of Penistone that is home to Barnsley Trout Club. Yorkshire Water does not permit kayaking, canoeing or paddleboarding at the reservoir.

South Yorkshire, EnglandThis slipway launches onto the River Don Navigation, the canalised stretch of the River Don that runs through Rotherham town centre as part of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation. The reach passes close to Ickles and Holmes locks and the Forge Island riverside redevelopment.
LakeDamflask Reservoir slipway
South Yorkshire, EnglandThis slipway launches onto Damflask Reservoir in the Loxley valley, close to the village of Low Bradfield about five miles west of Sheffield city centre. The reservoir hosts three rowing clubs and the Sheffield Viking Sailing Club, and it is a Yorkshire Water site with a marked circular perimeter path.
LakeWinscar Reservoir put-in (Dunford Bridge)
South Yorkshire, EnglandThis downhill slipway launches onto Winscar Reservoir at Dunford Bridge, just inside the Peak District National Park on the Pennine watershed above Barnsley. Yorkshire Water does not permit kayaking, canoeing or paddleboarding on the reservoir outside a club agreement; the Pennine Sailing Club sails and windsurfs there under such an arrangement.

South Yorkshire, EnglandThis slipway launches onto the River Don as it runs through Doncaster city centre, part of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation. The river here is close to where the Cheswold joins the Don near the town's waterfront.
LakeCawthorne put-in (Barnsley)
South Yorkshire, EnglandThis slipway sits by the serpentine ornamental lake in Cannon Hall Country Park near Cawthorne, west of Barnsley. The lake and its cascades were laid out by landscape designer Richard Woods in 1760-64, fed by the Daking Brook, and the wider estate is owned by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council and open to the public year-round.
CanalCastlegate Quarter put-in (Sheffield)
South Yorkshire, EnglandThis slipway sits at Victoria Quays, the restored canal basin that forms the terminus of the Sheffield Canal on the edge of Sheffield city centre. The basin was built in 1816-1819 and now holds leisure moorings and a working boatyard alongside cafes and offices. The Sheffield Canal is managed by the Canal and River Trust and forms the upper reach of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation.
